The first thing that threw me is that there are no traditional fantasy game races like humans, elves or dwarves. The closest players will find are demonic and clockwork races, but by far most of the races are “furries,” human/animal hybrids such as frogs, foxes and deer. While the term “furry” brings a sour taste to many mouths, the team has made it clear in their terms of service that absolutely no sexual messaging is allowed in their game.

And honestly, the closest I came to furry culture was passing by other players with clan names like Tera Money “Furry Fighters.” However, the game has, for better or for worse, been labeled as a “furry game,” which many regard as both one of the game's strengths (a great sense of community) and weaknesses (a niche gaming environment that can turn off outsiders).

The document will be released to the professionals next week.

We have been tweaking the level ranges of the battlestations to "open it up" to allow larger level ranges to participate.Tera Gold hopefully including ranges that did not run consistently. The new level ranges (along with removing the pet-bane "steps" around teleporters) will be coming in the next version. Players will likely not be very competitive with an average setup at the bottom of their level range...but at least they will be able to participate.

Hey guys! Summer vacation rolls on here at the Funcom offices, and things are a little quiet overall with the majority of the team taking some well-deserved time off. Means, cube, MstrBstrd and myself still haunt the floor, with Lindelu omnipresent on Skype, and just because everyone *else* is on holiday that doesn't mean we can't break off a few shinies to show everybody. ;)

While Means, Linde and I have been putting effort into getting the new Daily Missions & instances (all currently available on Testlive!) tweaked, polished, fixed and finalized, cube & MstrBstrd have both been hard at work cranking out the graphical awesomeness - As I've said before, though, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'mma shut up and just toss out some renders for you guys. ;) Enjoy, and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
